Schokkende documentaire over Amerikaanse tieners en jong volwassenen: met een pilletje kun je je beter concentreren en haal je betere cijfers. Dus ja… waarom niet? Als anderen het wel doen en jij niet, scoor the relatief slecht. De prestatiedruk wordt zo steeds groter en de farmaceuten steeds rijker. Wanneer zal deze trend overwaaien naar Europa?

Documentary about the social issues surrounding AI: How will we as a global society deal with artificial intelligence? Who will control this technology? Has the train left the station, never to be stopped? What sort of society do we want to create and live in? Keep in mind that, like most documentaries on AI, they highlight the possible negative effects of this technology but there are many positive effects too.

Two years old, but still highly relevant. It recently aired on Dutch TV (watch it on NPO plus). Even if you’re aware of all societal questions surrounding AI, it is interesting to see the interviews with some of the people who can be considered the creators of this technology.

Een inkijkje in crypto zwendel in de vorm van een Crypto Exchange. Pas aan het einde wordt duidelijk wat een eenvoudige ‘scam’ het eigenlijk was en waarom het misging. Interessant, maar wel een beetje langzaam dus bewaar ‘m voor een relax-dag.

Een inkijkje in het leven van een oplichter: hoe hij meerdere vrouwen op hetzelfde moment laat betalen voor zijn excessieve lifestyle. Privéjets, luxe hotels, dure feestjes en natuurlijk kleding van Gucci, Luis Vuitton, etc.

De eerste helft is een beetje langzaam, maar dan wordt het echt interessant. Het is uiteindelijk een Amsterdamse meid die ervoor zorgt dat hij gepakt wordt, terwijl ze hem een koekje van eigen deeg geeft.

Great documentary if you want to learn more about the fight against biased AI, especially facial recognition. If you are knowledgeable about biased data, AI, and ethical concerns, don’t expect to learn many new things. But it will still be nice to ‘get to know’ the person who raised awareness on this topic and continues to fight for fair AI.

Een aangrijpende film over het leven van Stephen Hawking, gebaseerd op zijn memoire "Travelling to Infinity". De film gaat net zo veel over Hawking als over zijn eerste vrouw, waar hij 30 jaar getrouwd mee was. Hawking was zelf nog op de premiere, 4 jaar voor zijn overlijden. Heerlijke film voor een luie avond.

Een humorvolle film die de huidige maatschappij en het media-landschap bekritiseert. Zonder de ‘happy ending’ die rampenfilms vaak hebben; ook wel eens verfrissend. Gewoon kijken dus.

Watch this for a better understanding of the Flat Earth Movement and the people driving it. I’ve always been fascinated about how cults and movements start and grow. Flat Earthers are a great example of this. Enjoy!

A look behind the scenes of a growing worldwide community of people who believe that the Earth is flat. I especially enjoyed the moment where they explained that the Earth is a disc covered by a huge rotating dome. Like The Truman Show. Luckily, we don’t have to be afraid of falling off the edge :-)
