What is economic value, and who creates it? | Mariana Mazzucato TedX Talk
I have been a follower of this economist for a long time. I like her ideas and the fact the she works directly with policymakers in order to make them understand better the global economy. In this TedX Talk she talks about how and why we should reshape our current financial system which ideally would lead to a more innovative and sustainable concept of capitalism.

The Half Life of Valery K (ebook), Natasha Pulley
I’ve bought this book precisely because of this review - I’ve just finished reading it and… The book is a literally gem that seamlessly blends historical events with a dash of speculative fiction. That pretty much creates a narrative that is both enthralling and thought-provoking. For context, the story sets against the backdrop of the Soviet Union’s secretive scientific endeavors during the Cold War era. In my opinion, “The Half Life of Valery K” is a must-read for anyone who revels interest in historical fiction with a speculative twist. While the main characters and certain elements (e.g human trials) might be products of the author’s imagination, the rich historical tapestry on which the narrative is woven instills a sense of authenticity that resonates deeply. The vivid depiction of the era and lingering questions it raises makes this book a valuable addition to any reader’s collection, to be honest. Thanks @peggy for this rec

“License to Greenwash” - Case Study
A new study from the Changing Markets Foundation points the finger at platforms like Ellen MacArthur Foundation and Oeko-Tex as being just tools to make the image of brands and fashion retailers "greener" when there’s no actual will to make a positive impact in the World or to truly create a sector guided by sustainability. It’s all fake!
