Bulgasal

It’s not a vampire, well… kinda, but not really. He does however drink blood and wants to figure out how to become human again. Because he lived over a thousand years, all his enemies, family and friends reincarnated several times. In order to become human again, he needs to find the right people. But everyone keeps dying and reincarnating, so that becomes quite the task. Prepare for an interesting ending, but before that: a lot of puzzles, plottwists, action and bloody scenes.

Narco saints

This K-drama is actually called Suriname, because that’s where the main character ends up. However, this father who just wants to provide for his family, ends up in the hands of a priest. Sounds good, but this priest is not good at all. It’s a funny, clever and easy to follow show. It’s fun to watch if you like action scenes and trying to figure out what’s happening along with the main character. Who ends up in the middle of a drug war, while he is just trying to catch and sell some fish in Suriname. Thank god he doesn’t take no for an answer. I want a season two, cos season one was awesome!

Itaewon class

A very popular Korean drama about a boy who wants to avange is father. As he keeps trying to build a life after his father dies, he keeps running into roadblocks. Watching this show was frustrating at times, because you want him to win. But it’s a one step forward, two steps back situation. However, you keep watching because he gets smarter as he goes. And then he finally gets to confront the person who apperently caused his father’s dead and it gets intense! The ending is very satisfying though. Must watch if you love K-dramas!

Smoking

A Japanese show about an underworld where assassins play judges themselves. The pace is a little off sometimes, but I still wanted to know if uncle Sabe and his crew would defeat the other crews. It’s a show with bloody scenes and some plottwists. Because uncle Sabe is running around with his scalpel to remove the tattoos of his clients enemies. Meanwhile, he needs to make sure his own crew survives. Uncle Sabe doesn’t share much about himself and his reasons for becoming a criminal until the end. This show is chill to watch when you’re in a: ‘Sure, why not!?’ type of mood.

Sisyphus

My favorite Korean actor plays a scientist who creates a time travel device. The future, past and present start colliding and he needs to figure out how to fix it. This show is pretty witty, has many plottwists and some heart warming moments. You really have to pay attention though, this show is fast paced.

Move to heaven

I need a season two. Also, when you watch this: be prepared to cry and laugh a lot at the same time. This show tells the story of a dad and a son, who move peoples stuff after they’ve died. However, the son has autism and does things a little different. Which leads to beautiful moments, connecting the people who passed with their family members who are still alive, through their things. Truly a beautiful show about death and a different way to look at it. Again. Be prepared to cry and laugh, a lot.

Somebody

This show had me on my toes. This Korean drama follows a girl with autism. She finds it hard to express her feelings or pick up other peoples emotions. That’s why she creates a chat program that helps her with this. But then she finds a boyfriend who does seem to get her and she gets him. Or, does she? They end up in a murder investigation/hunt because the chat program helps killers find people to kill.

Stranger

This Korean thriller/drama show had me binging when I should be working. The main character, a prosecutor lost his ability to show and sense emotions. Thus his reactions can be quite strange as he works through exciting cases. A female detective seems to get him regardless. And they end up teaming up together for many cases. I hope season 3 comes soon, because I really enjoyed all the plot twists and there were plenty!

The glory

This Korean show had me captivated the whole time. As the main character plots to get back at her highschool bullies, she’s being very smart and cunning about it. It’s a very intense and sometimes graphic show, but I can’t wait for season two. I want to see the main character win!
