The Power : WINNER OF THE WOMEN'S PRIZE FOR FICTION

I think about this book at least a couple of times a month! Shines such a unique angle on patriarchy - and matriarchy. On power dynamics and societal shifts - hand maidens tail style dark as hell in parts - but such an impactful read

His Dark Materials

Favorite trilogy of all time. Much like Harry Potter, disguised as a children’s book but has crazy hidden depths. Phillip Paulmon has this unparalleled knack for beautifully unpicking society, what makes us human, politics, religion, philosophy - in a gorgeously gripping story. I read it every couple of years.
